The KBTU team won prizes in the Enactus Kazakhstan National Cup.

KBTU students have recently joined the Enactus Kazakhstan movement. Nevertheless, the Enactus KBTU team, under the wing of KBTU Startup Incubator and adviser Vladimir Popov, has already made it to the National Cup. The selection was tough: out of 52 teams, only 27 reached participation. The KBTU team played in the 1st league, where they took 3rd place.

In addition, Enactus KBTU won silver and a cash prize of 500 000 tenge in the “Live on the Bright Side” digital start-up competition from Beeline, which was organized in honor of the 25th anniversary of SIFE / EnActUs. About 60 projects took part in this competition, of which only 9 were included in the shortlist. A student of the Faculty of Information Technologies of KBTU Aron Karataev presented his project Sunorak, demonstrating a prototype of a jacket with solar panels for charging smartphones and heating in cold weather (video presentation of the project: https://youtu.be/yEyePg1ajHI). This project is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We wish the Enactus KBTU team a victory next year, and the Sunorak project a successful crowdfunding campaign and many buyers of innovative jackets!
