A literary-musical event dedicated to 175th anniversary of the great thinker of the Kazakh people, poet and philosopher Abay Kunanbayev took place on February 5 in the Scientific Library of KBTU.
The main goal of the Abay readings is to popularize the literary heritage of the Kazakh people; encouraging students’ interest in reading classic literature as well as the advancement of the esthetic taste in the compositions of Abay and Shakarim.
The guests familiarized with the library exhibition dedicated to Abay, answered lightning-round questions, enjoyed poetry and songs, and left charged with positing energy!
Besides diplomas, the winners and the active participants of the three nominations were awarded with various prizes.
The evening wonderfully finished with the abundant traditional Kazakh dastarkhan where one could hear spiritual and edifying stories.
