IMPORTANT DATES

  • Accepting applications for settlement from Year 1 bachelor students from 17 July to 18 August 2023.
  • Meeting of the Commission for allocation of dormitory places - 19 August 2023.
  • Notification of the applied students about the Commission’s decision. (mailing to the email addresses provided in the application form) - 20 August 2023.
  • Check-in of 1st year students who have been approved for settlement from 21 - 28 August 2023.

SIGNING A CONTRACT AND PAYING FOR ACCOMMODATION

 

The agreement is concluded from the moment of arrival at the dormitory (DMIS) until January 31, 2024 inclusive, while payment for accommodation for 1 semester is also made from the date of signing the accommodation agreement until January 31, 2024 in full for the specified period. Payment is made through Kaspi and Halyk applications or in cash at the cash desk of KBTU or through Halyk and Jusan banks.

 

COST OF LIVING

in a 1-bed room (for 1 place) -            45 000 tenge/month

in a 2-bed room (for 1 place) -            35 000 tenge/month

in a 3-bed room (for 1 place) -            30 000 tenge/month

in a 4-bed room (for 1 place) -            25 000 tenge/month

in a 5-bed room (for 1 place) -            22 000 tenge/month

disabled students

50 % privilege

- copy of the identity card;

- certificate of disability (medical and social expertise) issued by the territorial department of the Committee of Labour, Social Protection and Migration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Kazakhstan Rebublic (original).

Children from large families who receive a large family allowance

25 % privilege

- parents' identity documents (copy);

- birth certificates of all children, and certificates from the place of study (copy);

- a certificate from NJSC “SC “Government for Citizens”” of the recipient of the state allowance for large families (original).

 

ALGORITHM FOR SETTLEMENT IN THE KBTU DORMITORY

Check-in will be done via electronic queue.

1. Step 1 - Health worker clearance

2. Step 2 - Signing a living agreement, obtaining a warrant

3. Step 3 - Payment for accommodation

4. Step 4 - Getting the bedding

5. Step 5 - Getting the keys to the room

6. Step 6 - Settling in the room

Check-in time: from 09.00 to 17.00

You must have an identity document with you, documents confirming the social category for the provision of benefits (if any).

It is not allowed to book rooms in advance, the allocation of places is carried out at the conclusion of the Accommodation Agreement.

Note: In case of arrival at night or on weekends (during non-working hours), accommodation will be made in temporary rooms.

 

In the fall of 2023, master’s and PhD students will not be allocated places in the dormitory.

KBTU is building two new dormitory buildings for 980 beds. At the end of December this year, all non-resident students of KBTU who need housing will be accommodated in a new dormitory.
