Professor, Dauletbekova Zhanat Turarbekovna

Zh. Dauletbekova is a graduate of the Kazakh National University named after S.M. Kirov (now al-Farabi). Conducts research on methods of teaching the Kazakh language in secondary schools and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 8 monographs on methods of teaching the Kazakh language, 3 Concepts, 4 mandatory state educational standards, 12 standard educational programs, more than 40 textbooks, more than 120 educational and teaching aids, about 150 scientific, scientific and public articles have been published. Zhanat Dauletbekova’s scientific and teaching experience is 40 years. He has been teaching at KBTU since 2002.

Zhanat Turarbekovna is the author of the original technology “Learning with meaning”. Winner of the sign “Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (1996) and the state grant “Best Teacher of a Higher Education Institution” (2010), appointed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. “Honorary Citizen of Baidibekbi District” (2021), Academician of the “Academy of National Values” (2023).

Assistant – Professor, Bekenova Raikhan Bulatovna

Teaches the discipline “Russian language (Advanced level)”, as well as an elective course “Basics of public speaking”.

Teaching experience in higher education is 33 years, including 20 years in KBTU.

Author of scientific and educational-methodical works, including publications in near and far abroad.

Raikhan Bulatovna is the organizer of the annual spectacular, legendary BRB show, which has been the hallmark of KBTU for many years.

She conducts master classes, and trainings demonstrating new possibilities of pedagogy of development and freedom, ways to overcome conservatism and routine in the educational process, innovative forms of knowledge and skills sharing, aimed at positive changes in national education.

Winner of the XII International Pushkin Competition for Russian language teachers from 20 countries (Moscow, 2012).

Winner of the International Fashion Week Pret-a-Porte for the best collection of clothes - Almaty, 2009.

Assistant – Professor, Akbaeva Anar Meirkhanovna

Akbayeva Anar Meirkhanovna - assistant professor at KBTU (Kazakh-British Technical University). He received his higher education at the IKTU named after H. A. Yasawi and began his first teaching career within the walls of the same university. Since 2000, he has been the author of several scientific and methodological works and projects. In 2010, he defended his PhD thesis and received the degree of candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. Currently, he is actively working in his professional field, conducting scientific and methodological work. It plays an important role in the education sector, especially in the training of students in engineering and technical specialties. Kenbaeva Akmaral Sultanovna is a senior lecturer in the Russian and Kazakh Language Department at the Kazakh-British Technical University.

Akmaral Kenbayeva graduated from the Kazakh Women's Pedagogical Institute. He has a master's degree. Russian Russian has been working as a teacher of the Russian and Kazakh languages sector at the Kazakh-British Technical University since 2023, teaching the discipline "Russian language". She was awarded a diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science. Onlassyn Umit Kuanyshbekovna - Senior-Lecturer at KBTU (Kazakh-British Technical University). She graduated from the Faculty of Kazakh Philology and World Languages with a degree in Kazakh Language and Literature and received a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogical Education. In 2020, he received a Master of Science in Education degree. Currently, he is actively working in his professional field and conducting scientific and methodological work. Graduated from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (2006). Master of pedagogical sciences (KAZNPU, Almaty). He’s the author of 7 publications on scientific research.

1993-98 AlSU named after Abay, Faculty of Philology, specialty - teacher of Kazakh language and literature.

Work experience: total – 39 years, teaching – 32 years, continuous.

In 2003-2009 she worked as an assistant teacher at the Department of Languages at KBTU.

In 2006-2009, she worked as a Kazakh language teacher at the KIMEP Language Center.

In 2009-2021 - teacher of the Kazakh language, head of the Kazakh language section, assistant professor of the Department of Languages at MIIT.

Since September 2021, she has been a senior teacher of the Kazakh language subject at the Language Center De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK).

Since September 1, 2023, he has been a senior lecturer of the Kazakh language at the School of Natural and Social Sciences of the Kazakh-British Technical University.

Senior lecturer, Nusip Gulzhan Sakenkyzy

Nusip Gulzhan Sakenovna, born on October 19, 1995 in the village of Kyzylzhar, Kerbulak district, Zhetysu district. She graduated from the secondary school named after D. Konaev in the village of Saryozek in the indicated region and in 2013 entered the Kazakh Women's State Pedagogical University in Almaty with a degree in “6B011700-Kazakh language and literature”. During her studies, she studied at school-gymnasium No. 140 named after M. Makatayev and the Nazarbayev Intellectual School. Having completed her bachelor’s degree in 2017, she entered the master’s program at this university in the specialty “7M011700-Kazakh language and literature” and graduated in 2019. From 2017 to 2019, she taught the subject “Kazakh language” for students not studying in the Kazakh language at the Baiterek educational center in Almaty. In 2019, she entered doctoral studies at the Department of Modern Turkish Languages and Literatures at Ankara University, Ankara, Turkey, under the “Turkiye Burslari” program. She successfully completed the main compulsory subjects and passed the exam for doctoral students, which is considered compulsory in Turkey, with high marks. Starting in 2021, I began teaching the Kazakh language online to students and adults. And in 2023, she began working at the School of Natural and Social Sciences of the Kazakh-British Technical University as a senior lecturer in the subject “Kazakh language”.

Nurgaisha Raushanovna Zheksembieva – Senior Lecturer

N. R. Zheksembieva graduated from Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, with a degree in English Teaching. Nurgaisha defended her Degree of Master of Arts in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language at Bilkent University, Ankara (Fulbright Program.) Zheksembieva did her research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA Fulbright Program. In 2004 she graduated from Online Education at the University of London, Institute of Education, UK.

Temirkhanova Saule Umerbaevna

Temirkhanova Saule Umerbaevna, assistant professor, Master of Economic Sciences, work experience over 35 years.

Teaching English in universities, disciplines: “Practice of oral and written speech”, “English Language Stylistics”, “Academic English”, “Business English”, “English for Professional Purposes”. Development of an elective course "Intercultural Communications", successfully completed by more than 1000 undergraduate students at KBTU.

Coordination of the methodological links by levels, mentoring of new teaching staff.

More than 600 hours of professional development certificates; participation in regional and international conferences with the publication of theses and articles.

In April 2023 KBTU hosted a city interuniversity English language Olympiad aimed at motivating the technical universities students to master their English language competence and at raising awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students from five technical universities competed in a two-stage contest, with finalists highlighting aspects of the SDGs and demonstrating excellent public speaking skills.

Saule Asetbekovna has been teaching English at KBTU since 2004. Her core professional activity is preparation of the 1st-year students of the ISE to the official IELTS which is a prerequisite to admission to the University of London. Akasheva Aigerim Omirtaevna

Aigerim Akasheva holds the position of an Assistant Professor at the Kazakh British Technical University (KBTU), where she has excelled in her role as an educator and researcher, teaching Academic English and Social Sciences. Aigerim's primary area of interest lies in sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics and Academic English teaching methodology. She earned a bachelor of arts from Ablai Khan University of International Relations in foreign languages teaching methodology. In 2014 conducted EUS Research at INTO City University London (UK), followed by the completion of master's degree from the University of Surrey (UK) in humanities by Bolashak scholarship. Currently, Aigerim is working on PhD at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where she is analysing colour-term phrases in teaching methodology via corpus analysis. It's worth noting that Aigerim's pedagogical approach is distinguished by the integration of interactive and flipped teaching methodologies, fostering an engaging and self-directed learning experience for students.

Senior lecturer of English for technical students at School of Natural and Social Sciences, Kazakhstan-British Technical University.

Sholpan Zhubanova completed her PhD studies at the Ablai khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages in 2022.

Qualification: philologist, teacher with 17 years of teaching experience. TESOL/TEFL Certificate Holder.

Twice winner of the 1st and 2nd degree diplomas of the "ZhasTalap" Republican contest among young scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the diploma "The Best Teacher". Holder of the diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan "For contribution to the establishment of partnerships and creative approach to teaching".

In 2024, she is a co-leader of an international project from KBTU with the participation of universities of Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan under the Erasmus+ program.

In 2019, she underwent international internship in Drezden University, Berlin (Germany); BOKU (Austria); Erzurum (Turkey), at Ataturk University; at the Republican Institute of Higher School in Belarus.

Zarykbay Saltanat

Saltanat Zarykbay, a senior lecturer at the School of Natural and Social Science (SNSS) at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), contributes to educational development in varied contexts. She holds a master’s degree in Multilingual Education at Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University and a bachelor’s degree in foreign Language, English in Xinjiang Normal University, China. Domayev Adil Mukhamedkhanuly

Adil Domayev, an English language instructor at our university, has a diverse educational background and strong commitment to language teaching. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Foreign Languages from Suleyman Demirel University and a Master's degree in Leadership in Education from Nazarbayev University. Adil also studied English language and literature at the University of Leicester with an Erasmus+ scholarship.

Seitzhanov Eldos Zhambuly

Seitzhanov Eldos currently holds the position of lecturer at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), where he teaches academic English. Between 2016 and 2023, Eldos received his higher education. Yeldos received his bachelor's degree at Suleyman Demirel University majoring in Foreign Languages: Two Foreign Languages and his master's degree at Abylai Khan University of International Relations in methods of teaching foreign languages. Eldos chose French as a second language and already has experience teaching French to beginners. In 2022, Eldos completed a course on Advanced Teaching Strategies for Working with 21st Century Students, which helps him in working with his students. Eldos is distinguished by his ability to work with students of various needs, his ability to follow modern trends, which allows him to be on the same wavelength with students and simplifies the process of achieving joint goals. Eldos can also adapt to different situations and solve unforeseen difficulties that may arise in the process.

Abylkhozhin Zhulduzbek Bekmukhamedovich, Doctor of Historical Sciences

Professor of the History and Social Sciences Sector at the School of Natural and Social Sciences.

35 years of teaching experience, more than 40 years of research experience. I have been teaching at KBTU as a professor since 2006.

Author of more than 180 scientific articles, including those published abroad (Sweden, France, USA, Japan, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Russia). The article “Kazakhstan tragedy” (magazine “Questions of History”, Moscow, No. 7, October 1989) was the first publication in Soviet historiography about the mass famine of 1932–1933. in Kazakhstan, is constantly cited both in the post-Soviet space and by historians from far abroad. Has a high citation index.

He gave guest lectures at the University of Rennes (France), the Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Paris), Hokkaido University (Sapporo), Birmingham University and Oxford (England).

He was awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science, and was awarded an honorary badge of the Minister of Science and Education “For his great contribution to the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2013).

He was repeatedly awarded with certificates from the Rector of KBTU.

Telebaev Gaziz Turysbekovich

After graduation, he worked at the Rudny Industrial Institute as a teacher, associate professor, and vice-rector. For many years he was in public service: in the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Culture and Information. He held the position of Vice Minister of Culture and Information. Organizer of six international scientific conferences dedicated to the new capital of Kazakhstan – Astana. Author of 350 scientific publications, including more than 20 monographs and books.

Laumulin Chokan Turarovich

His research in Development Studies is focussed on science policy and dedicated to the organisation and development of fundamental science in the connection with technology, industry, society and modernisation. In the KBTU, Prof Laumulin reads his course on Philosophy and history of science and conducts his research on science policy as well as actively contributes to tackling the energy transition and green agenda, eg in organising the UN Almaty energy forums held annually at the KBTU. Zhumadil Arman Kabdeshuly

Zhumadil Arman Kabdeshuly, candidate of historical sciences, scientist-teacher with many years of experience, associate professor of KBTU. He has about 50 scientific papers. He is the author of several monographs and textbooks. He gives general and special courses on the history, ethnography and culture of Kazakhstan and spiritual revival.

Sheraz Muhammad

Mr. Muhammad Sheraz is a faculty member at the School of Natural and Social Sciences. Mr. Sheraz is a former journalist, public affairs and communication professional, and academic leader with over 35 years of international experience in the fields of media and academia.

A graduate of City University London’s Journalism School, Mr. Sheraz specializes in international journalism, he also has a master’s degree in geography. Mr. Sheraz studied higher education management at the University College London and development studies at the University of London.

Between 1999 and 2006–7, Mr. Sheraz worked in London for the BBC World Service, Press TV, FENS, and the IWPR. Between 1987 and 1998, he hosted two popular television shows on Pakistan Television. He also worked with various newspapers and has been a regular commentator/analyst for Al-Jazeera TV.

Mr. Sheraz was a journalism and public relations professor at KIMEP University in Almaty from 2006 to 2012. From 2013 to 2018, Mr. Sheraz worked as the Chairperson of the journalism & communication department, the director of quality assurance, and the director of human resource development at a leading university in Pakistan. He was the Vice-Rector for Internationalization at KBTU in 2018–2019.

In 2022–2023, Mr. Sheraz was the Director of the International Center for Strategic Communications at the Kazakhstan National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) in Almaty. He also worked as the advisor to the Rector of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University (KATRU) on strategy, global engagement, and communication. In 2023, Mr. Sheraz again joined KBTU.
