On November 8, 2025, the KBTU Scientific Library organized a book and art exhibition titled “Abai – The Voice Echoing Through Centuries” dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh thinker, poet and educator Abai Kunanbayuly.
The exhibition aimed to present Abai’s literary and philosophical legacy in a modern format, combining books, art and digital technologies to highlight the contemporary relevance of his ideas.
The exhibition featured:
a thematic book collection of Abai’s works and academic studies on his heritage;
artworks created by KBTU students and staff inspired by Abai’s personality and ideas;
an AR zone “National Identity,” where visitors could virtually try on traditional Kazakh headwear and read Abai’s words of wisdom;
an interactive zone “Mosaic of the Whole Person,” dedicated to Abai’s philosophical concept of the “Tolyk Adam,” allowing participants to contribute a word, symbol or drawing reflecting their understanding of a holistic human being.
The exhibition brought together students, faculty and staff, creating a space for reflection, intergenerational dialogue and creative expression.
