Following their successful participation in the IFLA Astana 2025 International Information and Library Congress, KBTU warmly welcomed a delegation from Riphah International University, one of Pakistan’s leading private universities with a growing international reputation. Riphah International University, established in 2002, is a private institution accredited by the Federal Government of Pakistan and recognized as one of the internationally acknowledged universities in the region. The university comprises numerous faculties, offers undergraduate and graduate programs, and consistently ranks in the 1201–1400 band of the QS World University Rankings 2026. It has also risen to 366th place in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, demonstrating significant progress in academic development and international collaboration.
Visit Program
As part of the visit, specialists from KBTU’s Department of Internationalization delivered a presentation introducing the university’s academic and institutional capacities. The central event of the program was a roundtable discussion, during which both sides exchanged information about current programs, research approaches, and explored prospects for interuniversity cooperation. The guests also visited the Scientific Library, where they were given a detailed tour of its modern services, collections, and digital resources. The discussions continued at the Center for Electronic Resources, focusing on best practices in providing access to scholarly information as well as opportunities for collaboration in open science and library innovation.
