The program aims to prepare highly qualified and competitive specialists capable of carrying out professional activities in production, engineering design, research, and teaching in the field of Materials Science and Industrial Engineering.

Master's degree is carried out in the scientific and pedagogical direction.

Goals and objectives:

Training of a professional, competitive specialist for production, development, research and teaching activities in the field of materials science and industrial industry (by area).

 

 

The Master's program provides an opportunity to:

 

• to master modern scientific knowledge and research methods in the field of materials

science and their application in professional and research activities;

• perform tasks in accordance with the set standards, successfully act on the basis of

practical experience, skills and knowledge in solving professional tasks;

• analyze the nature of types of corrosion damage;

• master the methods of protecting metals and alloys from corrosion using modern  

technologies.

 

Upon completion of this educational program, masters can work and improve in the pilot industry and scientific and educational activities.

 

Master’s students can:

 

• jointly participate in research projects in a research team;

• process the results of scientific research and publish scientific articles in highly rated

journals;

• take part in international conferences.

Admission Process

To apply for a master’s degree, candidates must pass the Comprehensive Testing (CT), which includes:
1.    Foreign language test (exempted if you have IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 60);

2.    Academic readiness assessment;

3.    Subject-specific tests according to your chosen educational program group.

Subjects for the CT are listed at: app.testcenter.kz
 Applicants can select a scientific-pedagogical or professional track in their personal account.
 A practice test for the CT is also available via the same portal.


Passing scores:
●    Scientific-pedagogical track: 75 points

●    Professional track: 30 points

Required Documents:
1.    Application form (filled upon submission)

4.    Higher education diploma and transcript in three languages – original

5.    Two 3x4 cm photos – original

6.    Medical certificate (Form 075-U) – original

7.    CT certificate – submitted after passing the test

8.    English language certificate – original and copy (if used for CT registration)

9.    Documents confirming social category (if applicable)

10.    Resume (if applicable)

11.    Motivation letter in English (required for MBA programs)

12.    Entrance fee receipt (10,000 KZT) 

13.    Tuition payment receipt for the 1st semester (for tuition-based applicants)
