KBTU Becomes an Advanced Huawei ICT Academy Support Center, While Students Rank Among the Top Three at Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026

Kazakh-British Technical University continues to strengthen its position as one of Kazakhstan’s leading centers for training ICT specialists. KBTU has received the status of Advanced Huawei ICT Academy Support Center. The corresponding agreement was signed by the Rector of the university as part of the strategic partnership with Huawei.
This new status opens up additional opportunities for the development of educational programs, student training in accordance with international standards, the implementation of advanced ICT competencies, and the expansion of academic cooperation in the field of digital technologies.
The results of Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 serve as a strong confirmation of the high level of training provided to KBTU students. The team competing in the Network Track took 2nd place worldwide. The team included KBTU students Ansar Assylbek and Zhaksylyk Abdimutalipov, as well as Madiyar Mereyyev, a student of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
Another outstanding result was achieved by the Kazakhstani team Dockify, which won 3rd place worldwide in the AI Innovation category. Kazakhstan was represented in this category by KBTU students Askar Oralkhan, Bakhytzhan Alibekov, and Dias Dzhakupov.
This year, Huawei ICT Competition brought together more than 220,000 students and teachers from over 100 countries and regions, making it one of the largest international platforms for developing young talent in information and communications technology, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation.
The students’ achievements demonstrate the high level of engineering and technological training at KBTU and confirm the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s youth on the international stage.
