The Kazakhstan Maritime Academy at KBTU held practical safety training sessions for cadets at the training complex located in the Alatau Park of Innovative Technologies Special Economic Zone.
During the sessions, the cadets practiced fire safety procedures, emergency response actions, and completed practical pool-based training in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
These exercises help future seafarers strengthen their theoretical knowledge through practice, develop emergency response skills, and confidently apply their training during sea practice and future work on vessels of the international fleet.
KBTU expresses its sincere gratitude to Maritime Personnel and Consulting LLP and personally to its General Director, Gabiden Zhanabayevich Turashev, for their support and for the free transfer of training equipment, including firefighting suits, breathing apparatuses, and other specialized equipment.
KBTU places strong emphasis on practice-oriented education. Practical classes and professional training sessions are regularly organized for students and cadets to help them develop real professional skills and prepare for careers in the maritime industry.
