On June 15, KBTU Rector Maratbek Gabdullin received an award for KBTU results in QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2023. 

In QS WUR 2023, KBTU took 801-1000 place, that is, the university remained in the same place as in QS WUR 2022. Compared to the previous year, KBTU is among the top 57% in QS WUR. In QS WUR 2022, this percentile was 62%. While the number of universities in the ranking is increasing, the percentile of KBTU development is also increasing. Overall the percentile of KBTU development is growing every year.

QS WUR is an annual publication of university rankings. Universities are assessed based on 6 indicators: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citation per Faculty, International Students Ratio, and International Faculty Ratio. In the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings 2022, KBTU appeared in the top 23%.
