On November 24, KBTU students will have a meeting with professor Michael Short.
Michael Short is an associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Deputy Director of the Center for Plasma Science and Fusion. He has 15 years of research experience in the field of nuclear materials, microstructure determination and alloy development. His group's research is a mixture of large-scale experiments, micro and nanoscale characteristics, as well as multiphysical modeling and simulation.
Topic of the lecture: “Scalable Fusion Power within Our Grasp – How Did We Get Here, and What's Different?”
