Applicants who have valid international certificates confirming English language proficiency at a level of at least IELTS 5.5 / CEFR B2, as well as applicants who studied in a bachelor’s and/or master’s program in English, are exempt from the English entrance examination and receive the maximum score for the English entrance examination, subject to submission of supporting documents.

- KBTU – grants up to 50% of the tuition fee

The admission process

1. Submission of documents: online via the KBTU website or in person to the KBTU Admissions Office at: 59 Tole bi St., Almaty.
2. Taking entrance exams in offline format:
First intake: 17.08.2026 – higher mathematics entrance exam, minimum passing score: 60 out of 100;
20.08.2026 – English language entrance exam, written and oral parts.
Second intake: 07.09.2026 – higher mathematics entrance exam, minimum passing score: 60 out of 100;
09.09.2026 – English language entrance exam, written and oral parts.
Second intake – study on a tuition-paying basis or under a KBTU grant of up to 50% of the tuition fee.
Candidates who have a valid international certificate confirming English language proficiency at a level of at least IELTS 5.5 / CEFR B2, as well as candidates who studied in a bachelor’s and/or master’s program in English, are exempt from the English language entrance exam upon submission of supporting documents.
